Leave It to AI to Check Regulatory Discrepancies!

AI reviews request content and suggests improvements to help applicants draft better requests.

1. Issue: Differences between old and new regulations are unclear, increasing the workload associated with reviews

A pharmaceutical company specializes in the research and development of new drugs and must frequently update its internal regulations. From the perspective of new scientific knowledge, technological advances, and ensuring safety, their internal regulations must conform to the latest national/international regulations and standards, and they review their regulations frequently.

When one of their regulations is changed, the person who proposes it registers both the new regulation and the old one, but because the differences are not clearly indicated, reviewers and the CEO cannot quickly grasp the changes. As a result, the review process takes time, making it difficult to make efficient decisions.

2. Solution: Automatically generate comparison tables using AI

To solve this problem, the process owner introduced generative AI (ChatGPT) and incorporated it into the workflow app.

Specifically, by giving appropriate instructions to the generative AI, a comparison table of the old and new regulations is automatically created. This makes it possible to visualize the differences each time an amendment or abolition of a provision of a regulation is proposed.

AI-generated comparison tables enabled faster reviews and eliminated delays.
